The Mustad Octopus Circle hook is a deadly weapon that combines the benefits of the Octopus pattern with the hook holding power of the circle hook.

These hooks will have many applications but none more so than reef and deepwater bottom scenarios.

These will be perfect for paternoster set ups (dropper rigs) as well as floatlining. Circle hooks enable the fish to take the bait in, and as it turns its head to swim off, the hook is pulled back out toward the mouth. The hook will then rotate around and the point will enter the side of the mouth.

Circle hooks almost always hook the fish right in the corner of the mouth. Gut-hooked fish are almost unheard of, which obviously has benefits for unhooking and releasing them if required.
